📝 Editorial review
Ground News addresses the growing problem of media bias by providing a transparent look at how different outlets cover the same stories. The app aggregates news from thousands of sources, allowing users to compare reporting styles across the political spectrum. Its core functionality revolves around a "Bias Rating" system, which categorizes publishers as Left, Center, or Right, helping readers identify potential slants before they consume content. The target audience includes media-literate individuals and those seeking to break out of partisan echo chambers. A standout feature is the "Blindspot" feed, which highlights significant stories that are being ignored or under-reported by specific segments of the press. By visualizing media ownership and reporting discrepancies, Ground News serves as a practical utility for anyone aiming to cultivate a more balanced perspective on global events. It is a necessary tool for those who prioritize objective information over curated narratives.
